Ms. Parker began her legal career as in-house counsel for a national insurance company, and thereafter continued working for various local and nationally-recognized law firms within Los Angeles County.
Over the past 25 years, Ms. Parker has provided full-service legal representation and counseling for a broad array of clients, including individuals, sole proprietors, Fortune 500 companies, governmental entities, retail businesses, restaurants, a national property management company, an amusement park, and insurance companies in California. Ms. Parker has also counseled business clients regarding litigation management and budgeting, and business contracts review and creation.
Education
Ms. Parker received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Jurisdiction
Ms. Parker is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Supreme Court and United States District Court for the Central District.
Affiliations & Memberships
Ms. Parker continues to be active in the legal community. She has held long-standing memberships with the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc., Beverly Hills Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, National Bar Association, John M. Langston Bar Association, Black Entertainment and Sports Law Association (BESLA) and American Bar Association.
She has served on the Board of Directors for the Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Inc. (BWL) from 2009-2015 and 2019 to present. She presently serves as BWL's Vice President and Membership Chair for the 2023-2024 term.
She also served as a co-chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association newly formed Diverse Business Affiliates Committee from 2018-2019 and the Executive Committees for the Business Law and Labor and Employment Law sections. She has also been appointed as a Los Angeles County Bar Association delegate to the Annual Conference of California Bar Associations (CCBA) for 2019 and 2021.
She presently serves as a member of the Loyola Law School Alumni Board of Governors, and Institute of Corporate Counsel Board of Governors.
Ms. Parker has also served as a volunteer for the following: Harriett Buhai Center, Los Angeles County Bar Association's Domestic Violence Legal Services Program and Mesereau Free Legal Clinic.
Ms. Parker is also a member of the UCLA Black Alumni Association (UBAA).
In addition, Ms. Parker has served as a notary public for the state of California since 2010.
